We begin to explain the roles of the Congress, the President, etc.
Me: "There are a lot of people who help make the laws and make sure we all follow the laws...Like the police and city councils and..."
Charlie, with full certainty: "The clowns"
We burst out laughing, and quickly concluded that, yes, there really are quite a few of those in politics.
